JVC Season for Giving Creates Big Impact for the Holidays

More than 300 people joined Federation’s Jewish Volunteer Center to make the holiday season brighter for others across our community. During the 18th Annual Season for Giving, Federation’s Women’s Philanthropy sorted and packed toys for mothers and children at Lotus House and created collaged vision board frames with shelter residents. Other volunteers gathered at various locations to assemble backpacks with supplemental food for families in need and provide meals for seniors at Mitzvah Kitchen. Still others wrapped holiday gifts for patients at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and prepared a festive lunch for those staying at Ronald McDonald House. In total, volunteers helped feed more than 500 people, made more than 200 meal kits, wrapped more than 1,500 gifts and packed more than 300 happy holiday bags for children in need.
