Federation Begins its Third Year of Kibbutz Or HaNer Partnership

“We were inspired by the resilience, hope and humanity that define their daily lives,” said Greater Miami Jewish Federation Board members Marian and Paul Kruss (pictured) of the members of Kibbutz Or HaNer, who are still recovering from rocket attacks on October 7. Through the Communities2Gether program, Federation is entering its third year of partnership in the kibbutz’s recovery. Chaired by Richard Bernstein and Mytyl Simancas-Bister, the initiative will have allocated a total of $750,000 to help residents heal from the economic and physical losses and trauma of that horrific day. Federation staff recently visited Or HaNer during their Birthright Israel Volunteer Staff Trip and saw firsthand the impact of Federation support. Noted Marian and Paul, “We are incredibly proud of this partnership that continues to enrich and strengthen both our communities.”
