Local Holocaust Survivors Featured on Television Special

Local Holocaust Survivors were featured as part of a segment on CBS Sunday Morning spotlighting the work of Gillian Laub, a photographer who is preserving the memory of the Shoah — one photo at a time. In honor of last month’s International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Laub launched the second public art installation of Liv2Tell, projecting images of Survivors onto Miami landmarks. David Schaecter (pictured), a Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach Founder; Miriam Klein Kassenoff, Holocaust Memorial Education Chair; Saul Blau, Judy Rodan and Laszlo Selly were among the individuals who saw their towering likenesses displayed on iconic Miami buildings such as the New World Symphony. Using similarly advanced digital art techniques, the Holocaust Memorial is expanding its footprint and will soon house Dimensions in Testimony, an exhibit where visitors can "interact" with eyewitnesses to the Shoah through holograms. Slated for completion early next year, the Education Center will also include space for films, panel discussions and lectures, ensuring future generations will never forget.
