Miami Resident and US District Judge Explores Claims Against Israel in New Book

The New York Times bestseller Israel on Trial: Examining the History, the Evidence, and the Law, by the Honorable Roy K. Altman, is making waves for its rigorous examination of the escalating Israel-Gaza debate. In the book, US District Judge Altman, a Miami resident, brings legal rigor and methodology to one of the world’s most contentious dispute. Applying courtroom-tested standards and international law, he examines claims of genocide, apartheid and colonialism raised against Israel. Federation Vice President of External Affairs Josh Sayles, said, "Judge Altman is a brilliant legal mind, dedicated public servant and passionate Zionist who has devoted countless hours to educating others about the realities facing Israel. His voice is both credible and urgently needed, and his message deserves to be heard by the widest possible audience." The Honorable Roy Altman will be speaking at Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center on Saturday, May 16 at 9:30 a.m. during Shabbat services.
