Miami Day School Teachers Visit Federation Partner City Yerucham

“Our visit offered the connection to Israel that American Jews dream about,” said Michael Moss, whose Israel trip through the Miami-Yerucham partnership included a meaningful visit to Federation’s partner city. Moss was one of four Lehrman Community Day School staff who attended the MindCET Educational Entrepreneurship Showcase, along with professionals from Federation’s partner CAJE | The Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education. In town for Israel EdTech Week, an annual gathering that explores the future of learning, the group toured Yerucham’s award-winning Robotics Lab and the Yerucham Educational Farm. When the Miami team learned that little was being done with the sugar cane grown there, they decided to gift the farm a sugar cane juicer as a thank you for their hospitality.
