Miami Marlins Honoring Jewish Heritage Day
Join the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, local Jewish day schools and the community for a day at the ballpark to support Jewish education, as the Miami Marlins host the Ninth Annual Jewish Heritage Day on Sunday afternoon, August 12 at Marlins Ballpark. Enjoy the game, nosh on delicious kosher food, listen to great Jewish music and show your support for Jewish education in South Florida.
The event is being co-sponsored by the Jewish Heritage Day Foundation, Inc. and the Marlins to raise awareness and support for Jewish education in South Florida. The excitement will begin at 12:30 p.m. with pre-game festivities, followed at 1:10 p.m. by nine innings of baseball against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Ticket prices range from $13 for the Home Run Porch to $50 for Clubhouse Box E. Baseline Reserved seats are $20. For more information and reserved seats, visit www.JewishHeritageDay.org and use password JHD to purchase your tickets.
The first 5,000 kids ages 12 and under to arrive will receive a Marlins Back to School Binder courtesy of Office Depot. Fans can also take a picture with a Marlins player at Snapshot Sunday, located in Section 28 from 12:00-12:20 p.m. In addition, Radio Disney will be hosting the Family FunZone on the Promenade Level above Section 34 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Sam Glaser, composer, performer and interpreter of Jewish music, will sing the Israeli national anthem and G-d Bless America.
All kids ages 12 and under can run the bases after the game in the Diamond Dash.
Limited-edition Marlins yarmulkes will be available for purchase at the New Era Team Store on the West Plaza.
