Women Filmmakers Take the Spotlight at Miami Jewish Film Festival

Women filmmakers take the spotlight at the 22nd annual Miami Jewish Film Festival (MJFF), January 10-24, 2019. This year, a record 25 female directors from 12 countries are premiering their movies and more than half of all festival films have women serving in key roles as writers, directors or producers. The festival brings 80 thought-provoking films from 25 countries to venues across Miami. Included in the lineup is Mimi Leder’s On the Basis of Sex, the critically acclaimed biopic about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Amanda Sther’s dramedy Holy Lands, starring James Caan and Rosanna Arquette. MJFF is a program of the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE), a subsidiary agency of Federation. For more information, click here.
