New Israelis Acculturate with Federation’s Assistance

Federation helped 29,300 new olim (immigrants to Israel) settle in to their new home this past year through Ulpan, intensive language classes and acculturation programs offered by our overseas partner, The Jewish Agency for Israel. The program for new Israelis includes five hours of intensive, immersive instruction, five days a week for five months. Students improve their skills through both traditional classroom exercises and field trips that expose them to important Israeli cultural traditions.
