Pantry Packers Fight Food Insecurity in Israel

pantry

Your Federation donation is providing hungry families in Israel with food through Colel Chabad, a tzedakah network that helps vulnerable Jews in need, regardless of age, gender, background or degree of religious observance. Colel Chabad's Pantry Packers program delivers food to more than 11,000 families across Israel each month. Volunteers repackage and vacuum seal dried staples, such as beans and lentils to include in food baskets distributed to families. Since the program began in 2013, more than 630,000 bags of food have been packed and distributed.
