JCRC Strategic Partner in Implementing Jewish American History Week

This week, February 12-16, has been recognized as Jewish American Heritage Week in Florida. Sponsored by State Senator Daphne Campbell (D), Senate Resolution 1062 pays tribute to the unique cultures, customs and dynamic heritage of Jewish Americans. Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) was instrumental in partnering with Senator Campbell’s office on the resolution. JCRC Chair Nancy Zaretsky participated in the press conference held at the State capitol announcing the commemorative week, which will take place annually. In addition to Zaretsky, Federation was represented by Amy Chafetz, Rabbi Danial Hader, Robbie Nacron, as well as Sharon Horowitz, Director of the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach, and JCRC Director Carol Brick-Turin.
