Federation Webinar Offers Firsthand Reports of the Refugee Crisis in Ukraine

If you missed the Federation webinar “On the Ground in Ukraine: Reports From the Front Lines of the Refugee Crisis” earlier this month, the video is now available online. As moderator, Federation Chair of the Board Ariel Bentata reminded us that Federation is always there, “even when the headlines are no longer covering the war.” Tracey Spiegelman, Federation Israel and Overseas Committee Chair, provided insight into our allocations in Ukraine and relayed the importance of our overseas partners, which enable us to maintain “a global 911 for the Jewish people.” Eyewitness accounts of the region included Dr. Enrique Ginzburg, Trauma Medical Director and Chair of Surgery at Jackson South Community Hospital, and Elise Udelson, Federation Women’s Philanthropy Campaign Chair, who traveled to Poland on a national mission with The Jewish Federations of North America.
