Federation Is Helping Engage Hebrew-Speaking, Israeli-American Children

Federation is helping engage Hebrew-speaking, Israeli-American children through the Miami chapter of Tzofim (Israeli Scouts). Partnering with the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center (MARJCC) and Friends of Israel Scouts, Tzofim promotes leadership and Israeli culture while focusing on Jewish values. The teens meet every Sunday at MARJCC. Next month, the chapter will host a two-day winter camp in Boca Raton. In February, teen members will spend five days in California for Machane Shajbag, where Tzofim high schoolers from all over the U.S. will gather for leadership training and information on how to make the transition to counselor.
