Shabbat Dinner Club Offers Connection for Seniors

Congregation Dor Chadash’s Shabbat Dinner Club is engaging South Dade’s Jewish seniors. The program, which is supported through Federation’s Jewish Incubator Grants, hosts more than 70 seniors each month. The initiative addresses the needs of socialization to reduce loneliness, avoid isolation and help older adults live a healthy and purposeful life. This year, the program also offers classes that pair education with Jewish tradition. Funding for the grants is provided through the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign.
