Statement on Antisemitic Violence in North America

The Greater Miami Jewish Federation, our Jewish Community Relations Council and the Rabbinical Association of Greater Miami are horrified and outraged by the wave of antisemitic violence targeting Jewish communities in West Bloomfield, MI, and across North America in recent days. These incidents are a stark reminder of the growing threat posed by rising antisemitism in this country and around the world. They underscore the very real dangers facing the Jewish people today. Silence in the face of hate is not an option. We call on all people of goodwill to speak out against antisemitism wherever it appears. We call on our community partners and elected officials to condemn antisemitism clearly and unequivocally — especially when it emerges within their own circles. And we call on our partners in government to continue strengthening the resources that help keep Jewish communities safe, including sustained funding for nonprofit security.
