Strategic Partnerships and Infrastructure Enable Immediate Help for Israelis Under Fire

As missile attacks across Israel continue, Federation partners have expanded emergency operations to help hard-hit cities like Dimona and Arad, which suffered large-scale impacts that left hundreds injured. Deliveries of critical supplies during the initial response arrived immediately and included first-aid and rescue kits, and stretchers and loudspeakers for evacuations and crowd management. Other essentials, like clothing and diapers, were sent to hotels filled with displaced Israelis. A robust volunteer network, with more than 2,000 volunteers and community leaders in 13 municipalities, have played an integral role in response time. Volunteers are performing welfare checks on older adults, assisting families in shelters, helping with repairs to safe rooms, delivering supplies and providing emotional support. They have also created accessible shelter kits with sensory and motorsupport tools for children with disabilities spending prolonged periods in shelters in the north.
