Thrive North – Youth Helps Israeli Students Get Back on Track

With many northern Israeli students falling behind in their studies due to the stress of ongoing rockets attacks, a Federation-supported program has enabled them to complete the school year. The Thrive North – Youth program has brought approximately 1,500 11th and 12th grade students from northern Israel to safe campuses in Jerusalem and the south. There, during short, fully funded stays, students have been able to start feeling normal again — not just catching up in school but also getting a real chance to move forward. Trained teachers and counselors have assisted them in closing learning gaps, getting emotional respite from daily stress, building resilience and getting back on the path to graduation and future success.
