Federation Leaders Visit the Poland-Ukraine Border With JFNA Leadership Mission

“I am amazed at how quickly and efficiently we rise to the challenge.” These are the words of Federation Board Chair Isaac K. "Ike" Fisher who recently joined Federation President and CEO Jacob Solomon and a group of leaders from The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) on an emotional and meaningful mission at the Poland-Ukraine border. They witnessed firsthand how Federation and our overseas partners are helping save lives and bringing critical aid to Ukrainian refuges as they flee their war-torn county. The group met with representatives from The Jewish Agency for Israel and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee at the border crossings and at the centers receiving and processing refugees. They also saw the humanitarian relief efforts that are caring for people in need. “We help everyone,” Fisher said. “No one gets turned away for assistance.” Click here to watch a short video about the journey.
