UM Hillel Birthright Cohort Visits Federation Partner City Yerucham

A recent visit by the University of Miami (UM) Hillel Birthright Israel trip to Federation partner city Yerucham was both an education and a celebration of Miami-Israel unity. Beginning their journey in Jerusalem, the group of 40 students traveled south and toured the Nova Music Festival site, bearing witness to the tragedy and honoring all who were murdered on October 7. During their visit, the group worked in the local orchard; visited Kulna, which promotes education, culture and entrepreneurship throughout Israeli society and ended the night in Bedouin tents with a bonfire and meaningful conversation. While there, they learned about the Miami-Yerucham Partnership, which encourages people-to-people relationships between residents of the two cities to strengthen both communities. UM Hillel is one of eight on-campus Hillels supported by Federation.
