Virtual Mezuzah Hanging at Moishe House Brickell
Last week, the three residents of Moishe House Brickell enjoyed an evening of community with a virtual mezuzah hanging at their new home. Friends and family, including Federation leaders and Moishe House Founder and CEO David Cygielman, gathered by Zoom as Rabbi Adam Gindea of Base Miami officially blessed the home. Funded by your donations to the Annual Campaign and the generosity of supplemental campaign donations, the houses are led by groups of young adults who receive a rent subsidy and programming budget in exchange for creating meaningful Jewish experiences for young adults. Opened in December 2019, Moishe House Brickell joined the already thriving Moishe House Midtown and Moishe House Aventura. Last year, the houses hosted nearly 200 unique programs for more than 3,000 participants. Since the pandemic, the houses have pivoted to virtual gatherings.
