Yerucham Delegations Visit Jewish Miami

A dozen leaders from Yerucham, Israel, visited Miami last week to meet with their counterparts and develop future programming to strengthen the people-to-people connection between the two communities. One group, consisting of Yerucham’s Partnership Committee, spent time with the Miami Committee, chaired by Holly Levy, while the other group, comprising professional staff from Yerucham’s matnas (JCC), met with their peers from Miami’s three JCCs. During their stay, the delegations attended the opening ceremony of the Maccabi games at the MARJCC, met with day school and synagogue groups, visited the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach and the JCS Kosher Food Bank and met with Federation’s Israeli Division, among other activities. “Hosting the Yerucham contingency of leaders was truly inspirational,” said Levy. “It is not insignificant for them to have made the time to come to Miami for a jam-packed work trip and leave their loved ones at this perilous time in Israel. The time and effort were well spent and will absolutely result in new programs and connections going forward.” Click here to learn more about the Miami-Yerucham Partnership.
