Young Lion of Judah Offers A Meaningful Volunteer Experience

A true collaboration within Jewish Miami, the Young Lion of Judah program creates intergenerational relationships and encourages the storytelling of Holocaust Survivors’ lived experiences. The initiative pairs B’nai Mitzvah students with local Survivors and is a partnership between the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach, a Federation Committee, and our Jewish Volunteer Center (JVC). Teens becoming B’nai Mitzvah before August 2025 will have the unique opportunity to learn about the Holocaust firsthand while completing up to 10 hours of community service. During the six-week program, each student will meet regularly with their Survivor partner, forging a friendship and learning to tell their Holocaust story. Applications are now being accepted for the next session, October 18-December 1. For more information and to apply, click here.
