An evening of memory and music with proceeds benefiting the University of Miami School of Education and Human Development Holocaust Teacher Institute.

World-renowned scholar Dr. Michael Berenbaum will speak about the Holocaust, followed by a short program by New World Symphony Piano Fellow Noah Sonderling playing music of composers who did not survive the Holocaust.

Founding Director Dr. Miriam Klein Kassenoff has led the Institute for the past 22 years, building a system that gives public school teachers the necessary facts and presentational skills to handle this sensitive topic. Dr. Kassenoff is a Child Survivor who was trained at Yad Vashem and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum as well as by the leaders of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
