Federation’s Israel Emergency Fund Helps Launch the Innovative CareMaker Program For Wounded Israelis

Federation’s Israel Emergency Fund is helping wounded soldiers and civilians with customized solutions for their rehabilitation. Through a generous allocation to Tikkun Olam Makers, the CareMaker Program, pioneered at Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Hospital, can now expand its groundbreaking techniques to Poriya Hospital, home to the recently opened largest rehab department in the country. The newly funded initiative creates personalized plans to enhance patients’ rehabilitation process, boost their confidence and independence and facilitate their return to fulfilling and independent lives. The brand-new facility at Poriya Hospital provides critical care for injured civilians and soldiers alike, serving Israel’s entire northern region, where it is the only major center of its kind. Tikkun Olam Makers is an Israeli-founded global movement that works to improve the lives of people living with disabilities by meeting often unaddressed needs.
