Jewish Joy Continues: Celebrating the High Holidays in Ukraine

Last week, Federation ensured that vulnerable Jews in Ukraine could celebrate the sweetness of the holiday by distributing Rosh Hashanah food baskets to more than 7,000 people. Many of those receiving the packages are internally displaced persons, for whom the assistance is truly a blessing. In addition to nutritional support, numerous celebrations included a Rosh Hashanah Shabbaton for at-risk children and their families in Odesa and a community meal for 100 elderly guests in Lviv. Children's activities and engaging culinary classes ensured that people of all ages could celebrate and connect with the spirit of the New Year.
