Thank Our Members of Congress for Supporting Israel

As the crisis in Israel escalates, Federation's Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) is grateful for the support of our elected officials from Miami-Dade County and South Florida. We urge you to reach out to our Members of Congress and thank them for supporting Israel during Operation Guardian of the Walls.

We also encourage you to contact Representative Frederica Wilson (D-FL) to encourage her to publicly support Israel and condemn the attacks from Hamas and other terrorist groups that have taken place over the past several days.

Key Points:

  • Hamas and Islamic Jihad have fired more than 2,000 rockets at Israel, targeting population centers with the goal of injuring or killing as many Israelis as possible.
  • These attacks, in addition to killing several people, have halted everyday life for millions of Israelis and traumatized hundreds of thousands.
  • The United States government and international community must do all they can to stop these attacks immediately.
  • Israel has the right to defend itself from these attacks.
  • Our leaders must reiterate that there is no justification for terrorism or attacks on innocent civilians.
  • They must continue to condemn these attacks on Israel in the strongest terms and express their support for its right to defend its citizens.
