Our Jewish community came together in a spectacular fashion this past Tuesday at The Main Event.

While the pandemic has been a time of uncertainty, pain and suffering, this year has also highlighted our Jewish community’s resilience, generosity and compassion.

Federation’s Jewish Volunteer Center (JVC) has scheduled more than 3,000 COVID-19 vaccination appointments for eligible members of our community.

Tuesday is The Main Event: A Memorable Virtual Experience. Join more than 800 of your friends and neighbors from 7-8 p.m. for a night of entertainment and community to support the Annual Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Campaign.

Federation’s fight against food insecurity in our community continues on Thursday, March 18 from 9-11 a.m. at Federation Headquarters, 4200 Biscayne Boulevard.

In honor of Women’s History Month, our Women’s Philanthropy division wants you to know about Federation’s efforts to improve the lives of Jewish women everywhere.

It will be an exciting line-up of guests at this year’s Greater Miami Jewish Federation Main Event: A Memorable Virtual Experience on Tuesday, March 23 from 7-8 p.m.

Jewish undergraduate and graduate students in need of financial assistance can receive help through the Sylvia Tuman Scholarship Program.

In South Florida, one in five people — that’s more than 1,000,000 individuals including nearly 300,000 children — don’t know where their next meal will come from, according to Feeding South Florida.

Thanks to your support of the Annual Campaign, Elul Beit Midrash, the first pluralistic house of learning in Israel, has adjusted to the realities of the pandemic and created new ways for Israelis from different backgrounds and communities to study Jewish texts.

Studies have shown that more than 90% of all adults have experienced trauma by the time they reach their senior years. To help Federation continue to provide a safety net of social services for the most vulnerable people in our community, a new program will focus on the unique issues faced by immigrants in Miami as they age.
