Through Federation’s Annual Campaign, Israeli and Diaspora young Jews master a well-formed approach to life at Kiryat Yearim, one of Israel’s many mechinas, pre-military academies.

Last week, participants in the Pre-Mission to Poland attended the Annual Yom HaShoah Ceremony at the Holocaust Memorial Beach. This week, they joined thousands of people from around the world to mark Yom HaShoah on the March of the Living.

Federation’s Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking recently held its 5^th Annual Freedom Seder to shed light on modern-day slavery. Representatives of numerous civic and interfaith organizations came together to discuss the societal problem of domestic minor sex trafficking.

Miami’s Diller Teen Fellows and their families recently hosted Diller Teens from Federation's partnership city of Yerucham, Israel, in their homes, as part of the program’s Jewish communities' Mifgash (encounter).

The Women’s Impact Initiative of Federation is participating in Change the Culture, a collaborative grant that aims to change attitudes on South Florida college campuses, support survivors, empower women and engage men as allies.

Federation helped 29,300 new olim (immigrants to Israel) settle in to their new home this past year through Ulpan, intensive language classes and acculturation programs offered by our overseas partner, The Jewish Agency for Israel.

Mishkan Miami, Federation’s chaplaincy initiative, in partnership with the Pastoral Care Department of Baptist Health, offers free pre-Shabbat healing services the second Friday of every month.

This week, Jewish teens from Miami and Yerucham’s chapters of HaZamir — the International Jewish Teen Choir — are strengthening their bond as they perform together at local schools, synagogues and JCCs.

Last Sunday, more than 700 community members came together on Super Sunday and Good Deeds Day to raise funds for the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign and participate in hands-on volunteer activities.
