Federation recently provided a total of $50,000 in Women’s Impact Initiative (WII) grants to 10 Miami-Dade County organizations that inspire and empower Jewish women and girls through programs that pursue social, economic, religious and political equality.

Just two weeks after launching Federation’s Israel at 70 Mission, 70 people have already made their deposits, and you can, too! You’ll also want to reserve a spot on the Pre-Mission to Poland, April 10-15, 2018.

To help Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) Jews thrive in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Federation’s overseas partner, The Jewish Agency for Israel, recently created Tiferet Arazim, a pre-military academy that prepares them for enlistment.

Registration for the 2017-2018 school year is now open in Miami-Dade County, and MiamiJewishDaySchools.org, a new Jewish day school marketing initiative, can help parents choose the best place for their child.

Gather your friends and family and pack your bags for the trip of a lifetime in honor of Israel’s 70th birthday. Federation’s Israel at 70 Mission, April 16-22, 2018, will celebrate Yom Ha’Zikaron (Memorial Day) and Yom Ha’Atzmut (Independence Day).

This year, the Women’s Amutot Initiative allocated nearly $300,000 from the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign to 28 organizations that empower women to improve Israeli society through social, economic, religious and political equality.

Join Federation’s Women’s Philanthropy and Jewish Community Relations Council on a Tallahassee Advocacy Mission March 21-22.

On Sunday, March 19, join members of the community to volunteer on Super Sunday – the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s largest annual phonathon – and Good Deeds Day.

The magnificent Lion of Judah sculpture at the main entrance to Federation’s Stanley C. Myers Building has undergone a restoration, thanks to Laurel Susman Schwartz and Jordan Schwartz, a local mother-daughter team who wanted to express their deep appreciation to our organization.

Bring the whole family to Super Sunday — Federation’s largest annual phonathan — and Good Deeds Day on March 19. Along with raising money for the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign, the fun-filled day offers an array of activities from DIY mason jar meals for the elderly to Israeli dancing, PJ Library programming and more.
