Hillel International recently chose University of Miami Hillel to participate in the pilot cohort of its Excellence Accelerator. UM Hillel is one of seven Florida Hillels the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign supports.

Miami’s Ellie Esquenazi, 10, was selected by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation for the national PJ Our Way Design Team! Ellie creates book reviews, videos, polls, quizzes and blogs for PJ Library and participates in monthly online workshops and author interviews.

The Annual Federation/UJA Campaign has allocated nearly $300,000 to the Women’s Amutot Initiative, supporting 27 nonprofits organizations in Israel that empower women and improve Israeli society by promoting social, economic, religious and political equality.

Repair the World is coming to Miami! Federation is partnering with this nationally renowned organization to encourage peer-to-peer engagement among young Jewish adults in Miami’s Midtown/Downtown/Brickell area.

According to Federation’s partner agency, The Jewish Agency for Israel, and the Ministry of Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption, approximately 27,000 people made aliyah (immigration) to Israel in 2016.

Thanks to your support of the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign, children and families in need across South Florida have a life-saving safety net – Jewish Adoption and Family Care Options (JAFCO), a Jewish-based group home and social-service resource for children (newborns to age 22) awaiting adoption and foster care.

The Miami Jewish Film Festival (MJFF), a program of Federation subsidiary agency, the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE), returns to celebrate its milestone 20th anniversary from January 12 through 26, 2017.
