JCRC Action Alert

Urge Congress to support supplemental funding for the Ukraine crisis and to extend the “Lautenberg Amendment”

More US Government Assistance on the Ground in Ukraine

  • The needs continue to grow and emerge. While Jewish Federations’ overseas partners are working tirelessly to provide critical support on the ground and Federations successfully advocated for Ukrainians in the U.S. to remain, we need Congress to approve supplemental funding for the Ukraine crisis in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Consolidated Appropriations Act.
Support Refugee Resettlement in the United States
  • Over thirty years ago, the North American Jewish community stood with Senator Lautenberg when he passed landmark legislation that allowed 400,000 Jews and others fleeing religious persecution in the Soviet Union to reunite with families in the United States. Now is the moment to ensure that the Jewish and other Ukrainians fleeing the Russian attack on Ukraine can find safety, including by resettling in the United States. We urge Congress to extend the Lautenberg provision now.
