Kever Avot: Remembering Those Who Brought Light Into the World

On Sunday, September 28, Greater Miami Jewish Federation chaplains and local clergy will lead community members in the annual High Holiday Memorial Services, Kever Avot. At a variety of cemeteries and virtually on Zoom, participants will join together in memory and prayer and kindle a yahrzeit candle for those who brought light into this world. Following the short program, you can visit the graves of loved ones with relevant materials provided. Kever Avot, which means “graves of our parents,” is an opportunity to remember and celebrate those who are no longer with us, including victims of the October 7 attacks and the IDF soldiers who gave their lives defending Israel. Walk-ins are welcome and everyone is invited. Click here for a list of participating cemeteries and additional information. Kever Avot is supported by Mishkan Miami.
