Shelly Brodie to Lead The Foundation as Chair

Longtime Federation Board member, Forever Pacesetter and highly involved volunteer Shelly Brodie will become the new Chair of The Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, effective July 1. Brodie has been involved with Federation and The Foundation for decades, including chairing Super Sunday and leading two missions to Israel with her husband, Steve, who serves as a Vice President on Federation's Board. “As a child, I had no idea the role that a Jewish federation played in creating the perfect Jewish community,” she wrote in The Foundation’s Book of Life. “Through my years of involvement, I’ve learned that it takes a community to build a community.” Sidney Pertnoy, The Foundation Chair for the past three years, is “excited to witness the importance and visibility of The Foundation continuing to grow under her leadership.” He adds, “Shelly brings deep experience, great instincts and a strong commitment to our community.” Click here to read more about Shelly Brodie in the Book of Life.
