On average, indoor air is 2-5 times more polluted than outdoor air due to toxic chemicals in people’s homes, including cleaning agents, personal hygiene and grooming products, cookware, furniture and clothing - virtually every aspect of our homes and our lives. Dr. Hannah Gardener, founder of A Green Slate, which offers personalized assessments of toxic products in homes, will talk about easy techniques to improve the health of your home and the health of your family. Dr. Gardener has a doctorate in Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health, works in the Department of Neurology at the University of Miami Medical School, and conducts clinical research on disease risk factors. She has appeared on The Today Show, CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, and several radio talk shows.
