It was a night of pride for Miami’s Jewish community as more than 1,100 people gathered on Wednesday night, February 17 at the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s 2016 Main Event.

Working on behalf of our Jewish community, the Greater Miami Jewish Federation delivers deeds of loving kindness, simple acts of generosity that offer social justice for individuals in need.

On Wednesday, February 17, 2016, more than 1,000 people will come together for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation 2016 Main Event, an annual celebration of Miami’s Jewish community and its commitment to helping Jewish people in need in Miami, in Israel and around the world.

The Israeli Cabinet approved a historic plan on January 31, 2016 to create a permanent space for egalitarian prayer at the Kotel (Western Wall) in Jerusalem.

In its continuing effort to inspire and empower Jewish women, the Greater Miami Jewish Federation has announced $50,000 in grants for new or expanded programs that aim to achieve social, economic, religious and political equality for Jewish women and girls in Miami.

Driven by rhythmic drumbeats, joyous songs, personalized puppets and memorable learning opportunities, an imaginative new Jewish education program, known as Shababa has arrived in Miami, supported by a grant to the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE) by the Robert Russell Memorial Foundation.
