CAJE Al Pi Darko Initiative Champions Students With Disabilities

This fall, CAJE | The Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education expands its Al Pi Darko initiative to bring increased scholastic success for students with disabilities at six Federation-funded Jewish day schools. Launched a year ago at Jewish early childhood centers together with the nonprofit Matan, Al Pi Darko (Hebrew for “According to His/Her Path”) gives educators practical tools to better support children with diverse needs. As the education agency of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, CAJE has partnered again with Matan to help Jewish educators create increased opportunities for students with neurodivergent needs in a year-long cohort. The goal is ambitious: to build a shared understanding among educators and administrative leaders that inclusion is a school-wide responsibility. The effort will focus on strengthening inclusive practices in the classroom and creating school cultures in which every student can belong and succeed.
