Federation Attorneys’ Division Brings Together Surfside Settlement Legal Team

Some of Miami’s best and brightest legal minds will come together on Monday, June 12 at 6 p.m. at Bilzin Sumberg for Litigating Through Tragedy: The Surfside Settlement Negotiation. Join the Greater Miami Jewish Federation Attorneys’ Division for an eye-opening panel discussion that will address how the legal community navigated numerous sensitive and complex issues to achieve a settlement in less than a year after the devastating collapse of Champlain Towers South. Members of both sides of the litigation will be in attendance, along with the presiding judge, the Honorable Michael A. Hanzman, who noted, "Because of this expeditious and successful resolution, the victims of this tragedy were able to avoid what would have been years, if not a decade or more, of extremely difficult and emotionally taxing litigation, and begin the process of healing and rebuilding their lives." The cost to attend is $54 in advance and includes light bites and refreshments. Click here for more information and to register.
