Israel 75 Miami Mega Mission Hosts Opening Celebration

Last night, more than 800 Miamians kicked off the Greater Miami Jewish Federation Israel 75 Miami Mega Mission with a spectacular opening event at the iconic Safra Square in Jerusalem, including greetings by Israeli President Isaac Herzog. The evening was full of surprises including flash mob dancers and a troupe of rappelers descending the majestic Jerusalem City Hall. Federation Board Chair Ariel Bentata and Miami Mega Mission Co-Chairs Amanda Adler, Steve Brodie, Barbara Black Goldfarb and Michael Wagner, along with Maxine Schwartz, Israel 75 Steering Committee Advisor, joyfully welcomed Mission participants. Other speakers included Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion, who was presented with keys to the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County, and of course, President Herzog, who welcomed the group to this significant moment in the history of Israel and the Jewish people. The evening’s entertainment spotlighted popular Israeli singer Einat Sarouf, who got the crowd moving with Israeli classics. The event signaled the beginning of an amazing week of Mega Mission activities.
