We woke up at 6:30 a.m. Washed up, went down to an incredible breakfast by 7:15 am. The team members at Nofim Hotel in Tiberius were on point.

We hit the ground running and started at the beautiful Ba'hai Gardens. Oh my! What a view of the city if Haifa from above! Hagai, our tour guide, told us that the garden is almost perfectly maintained, thanks to the 100+ gardeners that are constantly working in it. From the top of the gardens and temple, we saw an entire panoramic view Haifa and its port.

From there we drove to the middle of nowhere to volunteer with Leket, a farming food nonprofit that helps feed more than 140,000 Israelis each week. We spent time working the fields picking corn.

After that, we headed to the "JCC"of Pardes Chana-Karkur to see and volunteer at a project funded but the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. We played with a beautiful group of Ethiopian Jewish children, who taught us traditional Ethiopian dances.

Toward the end of the day, around 8 p.m. we arrived at our hotel in Arad, for a quick rest to prepare for the next exciting day at Masada!

Not too shabby for our first Israeli Monday!
