A nurse from Kfar Aza, he helped defend his kibbutz on October 7 while his wife and children were taken hostage to Gaza. After recovering from injuries, he launched a vigil in Tel Aviv that became a movement for the hostages' release. His family returned after 51 days, but their home was destroyed.
