PJ Library Community Connectors

Lisa Jerles – Morningside/Biscayne Corridor – [email protected]

Lisa is a Miami native whose South Florida roots fuel her passion for community building. Until earlier this year, Lisa was a commercial litigator specializing in complex business disputes. Lisa has been an active member of the PJ Library Committee since 2012. In this capacity, she has served as a volunteer coordinator of PJ Library events for the Gordon School of Beth David Congregation and co-chaired the committee from 2014-2016. Lisa holds a B.A. in English from Barnard College and a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She is an accomplished home chef and enjoys cooking for her two children, Dagny and Moses.

Michelle Mandelbaum – Aventura – [email protected]

Michelle was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. After studying International Relations and History at Brandeis University, Michelle came to Miami to work at a media agency. During the past four years, Michelle has been involved in leading the Jewish community: creating J-Impact, a leadership program that engages newcomers to Miami, and co-chairing Limmud 2016. Michelle has two kids: Alan (3) and Shana (1). She enjoys organizing events, traveling, yoga, cooking and hiking.


Jenna Saul – South Dade/Palmetto Bay – [email protected]

Jenna currently serves as the PJ Library Miami Committee Liaison for Shalom Family. She is a former PJ Miami Committee Co-Chair and has participated on the Committee for more than four years. She is a member of the South Dade Women’s Philanthropy and Social Action Boards and a graduate of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s OLAM Leadership Program. Jenna holds a B.A. in Art History from F.I.U. and has a career background that includes broadcasting, early childhood education and human resources. As a Jew-by-choice, Jenna brings a unique and inclusive element to the PJ Library Miami community. She is passionate about family programming that celebrates Jewish cultural identity in new, inviting and all-inclusive ways. Her goals as the South Dade Community Connector are to connect and engage with Jews of color, interfaith families and the LGBTQ community. She lives in Palmetto Bay with her husband Tom, her daughters, Charlotte, 6, Penelope, 3, and Molly the pug.
