Women's Amutot Initiative Makes a Difference in Israeli Women's Lives

This year, nearly $300,000 was allocated from Federation’s Annual Campaign to the Women’s Amutot Initiative, which supports 25 different nonprofit organizations in Israel that empower women to improve Israeli society by promoting social, economic, religious and political equality. One such program is the Center for Women’s Justice, a public interest law organization focused on defending the basic human rights of Jewish women in Israel. By creating new and effective legal recourse, the Center for Women’s Justice educates thousands of Israeli women about life-changing legal policies and resources available to them.
