The Jewish Agency Helps Businesses Grow

Israeli entrepreneurs are making their dreams a reality, while promoting economic development throughout the country with help from your donation to the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign. Thanks to the assistance of our overseas partner, The Jewish Agency for Israel, which acted as a loan guarantor, Michal was able to secure a business loan to open her own candy shop in a suburb of Jerusalem. The Loan Funds focus on marginalized populations such as new immigrants, Ethiopian Israelis and the ultra-Orthodox. Federation also directly supports business initiatives in the Negev through the Ness Negev Business Loan Fund, another resource for small businesses to launch and expand. To date, Federation has invested more than $1 million in Israel’s Negev region through the fund.
