Florida Hillels Help College Students Connect to Jewish Life and Learning

College students can continue their Jewish life and learning on campus through seven Hillels across Florida. Each Federation-supported Hillel provides thousands of students the chance to find community, create Jewish connections and build leadership skills. Leah Grynsztein, a member of Hillel at Florida International University (FIU) said, “No other job or organization has instilled in me such important skills, meaning and identity as Hillel since I joined the student board two years ago."

Federation supports Central Florida Hillel, Hillel at FIU, Hillel at FSU, Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach, Hillels of the Florida Suncoast, UF Hillel and UM Hillel. Grynsztein added, “Spearheading the Annual Veteran’s Day Event alongside Student Veterans of America and experiencing different groups and organizations come together in such a genuine way motivates me to continue working on providing our community with the ability to grow and become inspired by all things Hillel.”
