Federation Connects Teens in Ukraine With Their Jewish Heritage

Amid ongoing hostilities in Ukraine, Federation is helping teenagers across the war-torn country celebrate their Jewish heritage. “In moments like these, I’m glad I have Active Jewish Teens … a big Jewish family where everyone supports each other,” said 14-year-old Lada, who lives in Lviv. With Federation's help, the youth program brings together thousands of young Ukrainians to socialize, play games and learn about being Jewish. They gather with peers for Shabbat, holidays and other Jewish rituals. Participants even have access to a private forum where they can connect about whatever is on their mind. To support programs like these and others, you can make a secure donation now to Federation’s Annual Campaign by clicking here.
