New Federation Loan Fund Helps IDF Reservists

When you donate to Federation, you are helping IDF reservists rebuild their lives through a new loan fund. Following extended reserve duty, hundreds of thousands of Israelis are returning to civilian life to find their jobs and businesses in jeopardy. Working together, the national Federation system and longtime partner The Jewish Agency for Israel have established a fund that offers those who have served more than 200 days since October 7, 2023, a bank loan at a subsidized, fixed-interest rate. Jewish Federations President and CEO Eric Fingerhut said, “This is not only Israel’s struggle — it is the struggle of the entire Jewish people. This new loan fund is an expression of the mutual responsibility that binds us across the ocean, a clear message to Israel’s citizens that they are not alone.”
