Federation Providing Immediate Assistance to Israelis Under Fire

At this critical time for Israel, Federation and our longstanding overseas partners are working around the clock to give vital support to those in need and responding quickly to emerging issues. Through our year-round partnerships with numerous social-service agencies and nonprofits, we are caring for new immigrants in absorption centers, isolated seniors and people with disabilities, evacuees from both the current Iranian missile attacks and October 7, program participants from abroad and many more vulnerable populations. Our assistance includes distributing food, water and other basic necessities; sheltering the displaced; providing emergency cash to victims of terror; bolstering emergency response teams and offering mental health counseling and online resources, among other humanitarian responses. Many of our partners’ professionals are under fire themselves and/or have loved ones serving in the IDF. As the Israel-Iran conflict continues, Federation will work tirelessly on behalf of Jewish Miami to bring help, hope and resilience to our brothers and sisters in Israel and to share more details in the coming days.
