Unique Gift of Israel Savings Program Makes Travel More Affordable

A visit to Israel as a young adult not only offers memories that will last a lifetime, but also is a transformative and educational experience that strengthens Jewish identity. But for many families, such trips are unaffordable. That’s why Federation partnered with local synagogues to create the Gift of Israel Savings Program. After enrollment, participating synagogues and Federation will make matching $100 annual contributions to your child’s account. Families also can deposit $100 a year for 10 years, ultimately accruing $3,000 (plus interest) to help finance trips organized by MASA, Alexander Muss High School in Israel, BBYO and more. Since the program began in 1993, more than 1,500 youth have participated. For more information, click here.
