Federation Helps Feed 1,000 People

JVC Kosher Food

Greater Miami Jewish Federation helped 1,000 individuals secure free kosher food yesterday during its third Kosher Food Drive-Thru Distribution event yesterday at Federation headquarters. Vehicles lined up to safely receive packages of fresh produce, milk, kosher meat, challah and non-perishables. The collaboration between Federation's Jewish Volunteer Center (JVC), our primary human service agency Jewish Community Services of South Florida, Feeding South Florida, Anny’s Bread Factory and the Sol Taplin Charitable Foundation comes at a time when many in our community are struggling to feed themselves and their families. For more information on how to safely volunteer during the coronavirus crisis, please contact the JVC or call 786.866.8680.
