Holocaust Survivors in Israel Find Support with Café Europa

Thanks to your donations, Holocaust survivors in Israel know that they are never alone. Through Federation's overseas partner the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), 8,000 survivors find friendship and fun at 120 Café Europa social clubs throughout Israel. Each Café Europa offers a meeting place, social networking and activities, including dancing, musical performances, literary evenings, holiday celebrations and more. Cafe’ Europa took its name from a café in Sweden where Jews who survived the Holocaust met after World War II to look for friends and relatives. Today, a network of Café Europa clubs provide support and comfort for aging survivors in Israel, the United States and throughout the world.
