Community High Holiday Memorial Services Offered on Sunday, October 6

On Sunday, October 6, 10-10:45 a.m., Federation chaplains and local clergy will lead community members in Jewish Miami’s annual High Holiday Memorial Services, Kever Avot. Offered at a variety of cemeteries and virtually on Zoom, participants will join together in memory and prayer and light a yahrzeit candle for those who brought light into this world. Following the short program, you can visit the graves of loved ones with relevant materials provided. The custom of Kever Avot, which means "graves of our parents," is an opportunity to remember and celebrate those no longer with us, including victims of the Hamas and Hezbollah attacks on Israel and the IDF soldiers who gave their lives defending the Jewish homeland. Walk-ins are welcome and everyone is invited. Click here for a listing of participating cemeteries and additional information. Kever Avot is supported by Mishkan Miami: The Jewish Connection to Spiritual Support.
